Scarlett is the owner and director of Aurora Glass Sandblasting.

Scarlett has over a decade of experience in the glass industry and bought the family business off Brian in 2019. Scarlett has trained in painting and printmaking and has a Bachelor of Fine Art from RMIT University. Scarlett also received her Cert II in Glass and Glazing from Melbourne Polytechnic. Scarlett has a lot of experience designing and producing many custom and traditional designs for clients.  She has also reproduced stained glass windows and bespoke sandblasts to match original existing windows.

Brian has worked in the glass industry for over 40 years, starting out as a glazier here in Melbourne.  He has also worked glazing in London for 12 months.  Returning home to Melbourne he worked creating lead-lights, opening a business in Carlton in the 1970s.  This business expanded into printing and sandblasting patterns on glass.  After over 30 years Brian’s business partners decided to retire so he decided to continue his passion of art glass with his daughter Scarlett.

Scarlett and Brian are more than happy to chat with you and help you with your art glass vision.

Payment

Once you receive a Quote from Aurora Glass Sandblasting, a deposit of 50% is required to proceed with manufacture.

Aurora Glass reserve the right to alter the quote if incorrect glass sizes are provided or unforeseen complications arise in the installation (rotten framework, multiple layers of silicon/no-gaps or putty) - which require the installation to drastically exceed the allocated time frame.

Balance of your quote/invoice is to be paid prior to install/dispatch/pickup (EFT preferred).

Quotations & Invoices are valid for 60 days from the date of correspondence OR from when Aurora Glass makes the initial Site Measure to inspect framework and dimensions.

Installation

When removing old glass from timber framework some damage to paint work & beading may occur – filling, sanding and painting is to be done by the client or third party (contractor) and not the responsibility of Aurora Glass Sandblasting.

Original Timber beading in Victorian, Edwardian and Federation houses (1850’s+) can be brittle and hard to remove, if it splinters or brakes during removal or installation Aurora Glass will do their best to glue it together but will not face the cost of new beading.

If you are supplying your own glass for Aurora Glass to decorate or install we will take all care no responsibility if damage occurs.
